Tension as Raila Moves To The Supreme Court

Posted on

How I wish we had a president today! You may say we already have an #Elect President but he is still yet to assume his duty as the president of the republic of Kenya. The huge stumbling block remains -the law suit against legality of his tenor in office.

CORD presidential candidate and the second runners-up in just completed Kenya elections, Hon. Raila Odinga has refused to honor the win of Jubilee’s (now president elect) Uhuru Kenyatta as the overall winner in presidential elections. He has moved to the Supreme Court to challenge the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s (IEBC) final decision.

Tension is high in CORD stronghold regions making it even hard for citizens to go about their daily business. Even though no violence has been reported anywhere in the country, people are living in fear with fresh memories of post election violence that happened in 2007.

With these in mind, people are wishing and praying for quick verdict that could end tension and fear in the country.

Today in morning hour, there were cases of day light robberies in Kenya’s densely populated ghetto areas but the situation was contained by the police.

My wishes to have the sitting president follows the fact that, the matters in Law Court makes it even hard for people to resume on their daily chores.

With unrest in these regions, we are still in danger of going back into chaotic times.

Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn into office in two weeks time

God Bless Kenya.
